Bead is an independently owned, jewellery making art and craft boutique based in the centre of Harrogate. In addition to wanting to be THE destination for everything and anything bead related (as you can see below!), we are also about being creative, involving all of the family (young and old, boys and girls!) and - most importantly of all - HAVING FUN!!!!

Bead Supplies

Absolutely everything you need to make bead related jewellery including beads (of course!), findings, charms, wire, spacers, cord, elastic, wire, pliers and so much more!

If we don't happen to stock something that you are after then just ask - we will happily source it for you.

Personalised Jewellery

Choose from our range of items in stock or simply have something made to order – from charm bracelets which are ideal for that special occasion (weddings, christenings, birthdays, etc) or simply pop in, choose your beads and the type of jewellery you would like - and we will do the rest!

Ever wondered how to make what you'd like? It's easy, simply sign up for one of our workshops and learn how!

Bead Bar

Suitable for everyone aged 3 and over (including adults!), our Bead Bar is a separate area of the shop in which guests can design and create beautiful beaded jewellery. In addition to bracelets and necklaces, we also offer bookmarks and keyrings - both popular choices for boys - and we also have a wide range of craft items which can be decorated with acrylic paint pens, glitter pens, adhesive gems and stickers.

Prices start from as little as £3 - and guests are welcome to spend as long as they want creating their piece!

Children's Parties

The style and privacy of the Bead Bar make it the ideal venue to host a child's birthday party.

We have four fantastic party packages to choose from and an experienced member of staff acts as party host at every one – meaning that all of our parties are fun, creative and, most importantly for mum and dad, completely hassle free!

Workshops

Ever wondered how to make the necklace or bracelet you are looking at? Why not release your creative side and save money by learning how and signing up for one of our many jewellery making workshops.

There are endless possibility and combinations of charms, beads, fittings and fasteners - simply sign up for a class, it's a great way to meet other like minded people!

Private Groups

Jewellery making is the perfect for a get together with the girls - whether it's a hen party getting together to make some jewellery for a wedding or a group of friends just wanting to have fun and be creative, a private workshop is the ideal forum to both learn, make something special and catch up with friends!

We are also keen to engage and support local community groups for both the young and those of us that are more advanced in years!

Jewellery making is an ideal activity for all, so just get in touch and we will happily host your gathering in the Bead Bar or, if easier, bring the beads to you!
